SOLD OUT: TAMMY AND THE T-REX (1994) – 20th June, Bristol Improv Theatre

With the June release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, it only seemed right we screen a dinosaur movie… and there is no stranger, or crazier dinosaur film than Tammy and the T-Rex. Maybe Anonymous Rex

One wonders why Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious) and Denise Richards (The World Is Not Enough, Starship Troopers) ever agreed to sign up to this film.

Sure, when you’re young and just starting out, you’ll take any job… but this one is just weird.

Of course, it’s a story as old as time. Boy (Michael played by Paul Walker) meets girl (Tammy played by Denise Richards). Girl’s jealous ex killed Boy by getting him mauled by lions and then Boy’s brain is transplanted into a robotic T-Rex.

We couldn’t have made this up if we’d been drinking gin for 24 hours whilst taking magic mushrooms.

To quote Drafthouse Films, “TAMMY AND THE T-REX is easily the most inexplicable movie in the history of forever. It’s equal parts BEVERLY HILLS 90210, JURASSIC PARK, and crack-cocaine.

“From Denise Richards’ hysterics to the scene where the T-Rex disembowels a stoner at a party, this movie is exactly what life will be like after the world ends and we lose all hope for anything that isn’t TAMMY AND THE T-REX. ”

When: 8pm, 20th June 2018

Location: Bristol Improv Theatre, 50 St Paul’s Rd, Bristol BS8 1LP, UK

“How is it possible that a movie about the brain of a kid mauled by a lion being placed in an animatronic T-Rex is bad? This is the greatest concept in movie history.” – Birth Movies Death

“I can’t say I have ever seen a dinosaur flick with the same premise. Time-travel, genetic experiments and lost worlds are the traditional routes for bringing humans into contact with dinosaurs, but sticking the brain of a lion-savaged teen inside a robotic Tyrannosaurus? That was a new one for me.” – Smithsonian.com

“TAMMY AND THE T-REX works as a complete oddity of the film world and remains entertaining in spite of a bizarre tone that’s “goofy kids movie with inappropriate adult jokes.”” – Joblo.com
