SOLD OUT: SHRIEK OF THE MUTILATED (1974) – 20th April, Bristol Improv Theatre

An essential chapter of unhinged cryptoid cinema!

We’re going to say it – there’s not enough Bigfoot movies! There’s Harry and the Hendersons, The Legend of Boggy Creek and a host of children’s films, but on the whole, there’s not an all-time classic ‘missing link’ movie.

Just to clarify, this is not it.

Fully uncut for the first time ever, the movie has been restored in 4K by Vinegar Syndrome from its original 35mm camera negative, Shriek of the Mutilated is an explosion of lo-fi gore, surrealist visuals, and baffling twists.

Anthropology professor Dr. Prell invites his students to a remote cabin in the mountains to research the mythical Abominable Snowman. Amidst sightings, dismemberments, and “strange smells,” the group fears that the legendary monster is very real . . . and out for blood.

This film and event is certified ’18’.

In order to make the event as accessible to as many people as possible, the main feature will be subtitled.

When: 8.00pm (doors open: 7.30pm), Thursday 20th April 2023.

Location: Bristol Improv Theatre, 50 St Paul’s Rd, Bristol BS8 1LP, UK
