Bristol Bad Film Club in 2014: A year in review

2014 was a busy year – not only did we somehow manage to fit 13 screenings into 12 months, but we also did our first outdoor screening, which over 500 of you turned up to!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening

In fact it was all of you that made this year such a success. Thanks to your dubious  taste in films and your on-going support, we managed to raise over £8,160 for 13 different charities over the course of the year.

For example, if you came to killer cat film Uninvited, you’ll be happy to learn we raised over £880 for Hollyhedge Animal Sancutary. And if you came to our collaboration with What The Frock! to show Supergirl, then you helped us raise over £400 for Bristol-based charity One25.

Still, while the money we raised for the charities was a bonus, it’s still all about the bad movies and we have some great ones lined up for 2015.

In January, we’ll be at the Southbank Club in Bedminster showing ‘martial arts/gymnastics’ cult classic GYMKATA and then we’ll be bringing the ‘Citizen Kane of Bad Movies’ back to Bristol in February. That’s right – THE ROOM is returning.

Full house

Other films are still being confirmed, but keep an eye on our Facebook page and Twitter for the latest news on upcoming screenings.

Finally, we’re always keen to know how you guys think we could improve our screenings, so we’ve put together a quick multiple choice survey below – any feedback/thoughts/movie ideas would be awesome. It should literally take a couple of minutes!

Take our survey!

Thanks again for all your support and see you in 2015!
